Description

APKG Importer Import multiple .apkg files into one deck and note type (e.g. Lapis), with automatic media repair. This add-on helps you quickly import one or more .apkg files into a single deck and single note type in your Anki collection. It is especially useful if you regularly export or download .apkg files (for example from tools like Migaku) and want everything consolidated into one consistent setup, such as a Lapis-style note type. After importing, the add-on automatically runs a media repair step on the target deck to normalize image and audio references so your media works correctly. What this add-on does Imports all .apkg files from a selected folder in one step Sends all imported notes into one deck and one note type Supports flexible field mapping from source fields to your target model Automatically repairs image and audio references after importing Designed to work well with Lapis-style note types, but works with others too Main features One-click import of all .apkg files in a folder Choose the target deck and target note type Flexible field mapping (Word → Expression, Sentence → Example, etc.) Handles images and audio automatically Fixes <img> and [sound:...] references after import Infers correct file extensions for extensionless media (for example .m4a , .webp , .jpg ) based on actual file content Runs Repair media references automatically after every import started from the add-on Optional archiving of successfully imported .apkg files into an apkg_archive folder How to use Install the add-on and restart Anki Open Tools → APKG Importer → Settings… Set: Source folder (where your .apkg files are stored) Target deck (where imported notes should go) Target note type (for example Lapis) (Optional) Enable archiving of imported .apkg files (Optional) Adjust Field mapping… Place one or more .apkg files in the source folder Run Tools → APKG Importer → Import .apkg The add-on imports the decks, archives them if enabled, repairs media, and then shows a summary Extra tools Check… – preview what will be imported (source folder, file count, deck and note type status, archive options) Repair media references – fix media in the target deck without importing anything Notes Media repair always runs automatically after imports started from Import .apkg ; there is no longer an option to disable this Extensionless media coming from source .apkg files is automatically detected and saved with a suitable file extension Settings and field mapping changes apply immediately (restart Anki only after updating the add-on files themselves) Field order (important for Migaku exports) By default, the importer assumes a Migaku-style logical field order: Word → Sentence → Translated Sentence → Definitions → Example Sentences → Notes → Images → Sentence Audio → Word Audio The importer uses the position of fields rather than their names. The first source field is treated as “Word”, the second as “Sentence”, and so on. If your .apkg files use a different order, you can: Adjust the source field order in the add-on config ( Tools → Add-ons → APKG Importer → Config ) Or fine-tune mappings using the Field mapping… button in Settings For advanced usage and troubleshooting, see the README included with the add-on. Note: This add-on is not affiliated with Migaku . It is simply designed to work well with common Migaku-to-Anki workflows and exports.
