Description

An-Ki-Oh! Allowed Memories Welcome, Duelist! An-Ki-Oh! Allowed Memories is a fan-made Anki add-on created to make flashcard study sessions feel less repetitive and more rewarding. Instead of reviewing cards without a visible goal, you progress through study blocks, unlock collectible cards, complete your Card List, and work toward recovering the rarest cards in the game. Important: Test Version This add-on is still in an experimental testing phase. Bugs, visual issues, compatibility problems, or unexpected behavior may occur. Please keep Anki and your collection backed up before installing experimental add-ons. Anyone is welcome to study, modify, update, translate, or improve this project, provided that proper credit is given to the original creator. Forks and derivative versions should clearly mention that they are based on An-Ki-Oh! Allowed Memories. Original creator: Why Was This Add-on Created? Studying with flashcards can be extremely effective, but long review sessions may also become repetitive and mentally exhausting. An-Ki-Oh! Allowed Memories was designed to add anticipation, visible progress, and collectible rewards to the study process. Human motivation is strongly influenced by reward anticipation. When a task leads to an uncertain but desirable reward, it can become easier to remain engaged and complete another step. This add-on uses that principle as a motivational tool, connecting completed Anki reviews to card-draw rewards. It is not intended to replace good study habits, but to make the routine feel more enjoyable. How the Reward System Works You choose the size of your study block by defining how many Anki cards must be reviewed. For example, you may configure the add-on to trigger a reward after every 10, 20, 30, or any other number of completed reviews. After completing the selected study block, the ritual is accepted and you receive a card draw. Three face-down cards appear, and you may choose one of them as your reward. Every draw is independent. All normal cards continue participating in future draws, including cards you have already obtained. This means duplicate cards are possible, and finding a new card becomes progressively more difficult as your collection grows. Duplicates are stored in your Card List and increase the number of copies owned. Your collection progress, settings, controls, duplicate counts, pending draws, and rare-card progress are saved persistently. Card List Every card recovered through the ritual is recorded in the Card List. There you can: View unlocked and locked cards Search for cards by name Check how many copies of each card you own Track how many cards remain before the collection is complete Inspect unlocked cards in high resolution Keyboard, Mouse, and Controller Support The card draw can be controlled with the mouse, keyboard, or a compatible game controller. Keyboard keys and controller buttons can be mapped directly inside the add-on. Using only the mouse is also completely supported. The Divine Archive and Rare Cards Four special cards do not appear in the normal random draw: Slifer the Sky Dragon Obelisk the Tormentor The Winged Dragon of Ra Holactie the Creator of Light These cards are sealed inside the Divine Archive and require special conditions to awaken. To unlock Slifer the Sky Dragon , you must draw every normal card at least once during the first Divine Seal cycle. Duplicate cards do not count as additional progress inside the same cycle. After Slifer is awakened, the seal resets and you must collect every normal card again to unlock Obelisk the Tormentor . A third complete cycle unlocks The Winged Dragon of Ra . A fourth and final cycle unlocks Holactie the Creator of Light . Complete Divine Seal I to awaken Slifer Complete Divine Seal II to awaken Obelisk Complete Divine Seal III to awaken Ra Complete Divine Seal IV to awaken Holactie When the last missing normal card of a Divine Seal is drawn, the rare-card awakening sequence begins automatically. The stone tablet cracks, collapses, and reveals the card sealed inside. How to Complete the Game To fully complete An-Ki-Oh! Allowed Memories, the Duelist must: Recover every normal card Complete all four Divine Seal cycles Awaken Slifer, Obelisk, Ra, and Holactie Restore balance to the world Earn the title of King of Games This is designed as a very long-term challenge. Because normal cards can be drawn repeatedly, completing every Divine Seal requires patience, consistency, and many Anki review sessions. Story and Tutorial The add-on includes an illustrated introduction and a guided tutorial presented by Solomon Muto. The story explains why the cards must be recovered, while the tutorial helps you configure: Your preferred number of reviews per study block Keyboard and controller shortcuts The movable CARD DRAW progress emblem The Card List and Divine Archive The story and tutorial can be skipped, replayed, or disabled for future Anki sessions. Feedback and Contributions Because this is a test build, feedback is welcome. When reporting a problem, please include: Your Anki version Your operating system The complete error message or debug information A description of what happened before the error Screenshots when possible Developers may create fixes, translations, improvements, or new versions of the add-on, as long as the original project and creator are properly credited.
