This fork of Contanki adds support for immersive haptic feedback (rumble) to your study sessions. 🚀 Features 🌀 Immersive Haptic Feedback : Feel your answers! Experience over 15 distinct vibration patterns for actions like Answer Good, Answer Again, Undo, and Deck Complete. 🎮 Comfortable Reviews : Review your cards using a gamepad — no more sore hands, backs, or eyes from sitting at a desk. 🎯 Intelligent Overlays : Pull up a helpful on-screen overlay to remind you of your control mapping in real time. ⚙️ Fully Customizable : Bind almost any Anki feature to any button. Create different profiles for different controllers or study modes. 🖱️ Precision Cursor Control : Use analog sticks for mouse movement and scrolling where a controller normally falls short. 🚀 Quick Select Menu : A radial menu (Right Trigger by default) for fast access to flags, tags, and custom shortcuts. 🌀 Haptic Feedback Patterns Each major action has a customizable tactile signature to help you stay focused; for example: ✅ Good : A solid, confident pulse. ❌ Again : A disappointing ramp-down vibration. ⚠️ Hard : Two quick, bumpy pulses. 🎉 Deck Complete : A celebratory “victory” sequence. 🔄 Undo : Three quick, light pulses. 📖 Usage Notes Connect your controller via USB or Bluetooth. Install the add-on and restart Anki. Press any button to “wake” the controller and get started. Controls can be reassigned using the add-on’s config dialog ( Tools > Controller Options ). You can assign controls for each context (Review, Deck Browser, etc.) as well as global settings. 🕹️ Analog Sticks & D-Pads Sticks can be reassigned or put into Button Mode , mapping actions to the four directions. Both traditional button-based D-Pads and axis-based D-Pads are fully supported. 🎮 Choosing a Controller Dualshock/Xbox One/Switch/8BitDo devices are fully supported, though verify rumble capabilities independently. I personally use IINE's Chronos remote. 🛠️ Troubleshooting & Compatibility Anki 2.1.66+ is required due to modern toolkit requirements. macOS : Volume controls are exclusive to macOS. Known Issues : Limited interaction with the Browser/Preferences windows; unable to open webview context menus. Conflicts : Not compatible with Anjoy . For Customize Keyboard Shortcuts , use Custom Actions in this add‑on to match your shortcuts.
