Description

Keeps toggle blocks in Notion and cards in Anki in sync β€” in both directions. A toggle's title becomes the card's Front, everything inside the toggle becomes the Back. Your Notion page structure is mirrored as Anki decks and subdecks. Import (Notion β†’ Anki) Turns every toggle on a page into a card, creating the matching decks automatically. Recursive mode follows sub-pages and mirrors them as subdecks. Re-importing updates cards in place instead of creating duplicates, and moves a card if its toggle moved to a different sub-page. Import one single page or sub-page when you only changed one chapter. Push (Anki β†’ Notion) Writes your Anki edits back into the matching Notion toggles β€” only the cards that actually changed. Cards you wrote in Anki become new Notion toggles. You pick the target page once per top-level deck; missing Notion sub-pages for your subdecks are then created automatically. A toggle deleted in Notion is detected and recreated, and the card relinked. If a card can't be converted, the summary names it with its note id and Front text, and says whether the Front or the Back caused it. Also included Show connected Notion pages β€” lists every page your integration token can actually reach, marks which ones Anki already uses, and lets you add the rest without pasting page IDs. Orphan cleanup, both directions β€” find Notion toggles with no card, or cards whose toggle is gone. Both scan first, show you the list, and default to a reversible action (mark with 🚫 / suspend and tag) rather than deleting. Priority tags β€” a 🟒/🟑/πŸ”΄ in a card's Front becomes a prio_green / prio_yellow / prio_red tag, handy for filtered decks. 2anki migration tools (optional, hidden by default) for cards originally imported with the separate 2anki.net tool. All network operations run in the background with a progress window, and Anki stays usable while they run. What converts Text formatting, colours, headings, lists, quotes, dividers, code blocks (language preserved), tables, images and inline equations all survive both directions. Images are downloaded into Anki's media folder on import and uploaded to Notion on push (up to 20 MB each). Known limitations Callouts convert to Anki but cannot be pushed back β€” the card still pushes, and Notion gets a warning paragraph in that spot. A Front containing an image or table can't be pushed at all, because a Notion toggle title holds plain text only. No automatic sync. Import and push are started by hand from the menu. No conflict detection. If you edit the same card in both places, whichever direction you run last wins. Import always overwrites the card with Notion's version, so push your Anki changes before importing. No cloze support β€” simple Front/Back cards only. Moving a toggle to a different Notion page (Notion's own Move to ) relinks its card and relocates it to the matching deck on the next import. Copy-pasting a toggle instead is not a move β€” Notion gives the pasted copy a brand-new block ID, so the add-on can't tell it apart from a genuinely new toggle and creates a second card. Notion allows roughly 3 API requests per second, so several thousand cards can take a few minutes. Setup In Notion: Settings β†’ Connections β†’ "Develop or manage integrations" , create an integration and copy its Internal Integration Token. Connect each page you want to sync to that integration (open the page β†’ β€’β€’β€’ β†’ Connections ). Without this the add-on cannot see the page β€” and this looks like success, you just get "0 toggles found". In Anki: Tools β†’ Notion2Anki Sync β†’ Configurations , paste the token, and add a row per page (paste the page link straight from Notion) with the deck it should import into. Use Show connected Notion pages to confirm your token reaches everything you expect. Full step-by-step instructions, in English and German , are built in: Tools β†’ Notion2Anki Sync β†’ Instructions / Help . Compatibility Requires Anki 23.10 or later. Developed and tested on 25.09.
