Opens a configured external editor with a customizable shortcut while editing Anki fields, replacing the built-in HTML editor.
Applies configured plain-text and regex replacements, via a shortcut, to the HTML source of the currently active editor field in one note.
Provides a CodeMirror-based HTML/CSS source editor for fields and card templates, with syntax highlighting, search/replace, configurable themes/keymaps, version saving, diffs, and external editor support.
Converts MathJax $β¦$ and $$β¦$$ delimiters to \(...\) and \[...\] in the Editor, selected Browser notes, and current Reviewer note while preserving formatting and undo.
Opens field content in a TinyMCE-based dialog editor for advanced table editing, styling, merging cells, and borders, accessible via a TM button or configurable shortcut.
Enhances Anki field and card template editing with CodeMirror syntax highlighting, search and replace, HTML/plaintext copy buttons, Ctrl/Cmd+C, and macOS theme crash fixes.

Replaces built-in html editor with the one of your choice.
I created this add-on because I spent lot of time copying from Anki to vim, editing, and copying back.
It allows you to specify your editor of preference.
In Anki 2.1, menu: Tools/Add-ons, click Get Add-ons..., and enter:

You can change the editor by clicking in "Config".
