Description

Opens additional, independent Browser (card manager) windows so you can work on two decks side by side and copy field content between them. Usage New Browser window: menu "Fenster" or Ctrl+Shift+B (macOS: Cmd+Shift+B) Tile all Browser windows across the screen: Ctrl+Shift+Y A new window inherits the search of the window it was opened from Session restore: your window layout is reopened automatically when Anki starts Behaviour Every extra window is a full Browser with sidebar, editor and preview Each window remembers its own position, size and dock state Restores search, card/notes mode, selected rows and geometry per window Opening the Browser normally still gives you exactly one main window Anki closes the extra windows on profile switch, sync and shutdown Pure UI β€” never modifies your notes or collection Configuration (Tools β†’ Add-ons β†’ Config) max_windows , inherit_search , tile_after_opening restore_session , restore_selection , restore_on_startup shortcut_new_window , shortcut_tile show_menu , menu_title , label_new_window , label_tile Note: if the same note is open in two windows, Anki reloads it in the other window after saving; unsaved edits there are lost. This is Anki behaviour, not caused by the add-on. Developed for modern Anki (Qt6). Source & issues https://github.com/david-becher/anki-multiple-browser-windows Licensed under the MIT License.
