Description

AnkiPacer is an advanced, high-performance tactical pacing dashboard for Anki. It tracks your review velocity, analyzes rolling accuracy against historical baselines, keeps you on track with visual time indicators, and integrates natively with the macOS media ecosystem. If you're looking for AnkiPacer for MacOS, copy & paste this link: https://ankiweb.net/shared/info/1681645997?cb=1779462884290 Core Display & Interaction Modes AnkiPacer features two distinct operational layouts. You can switch between them via the Tools Menu, the "❖ Widget" panel button, or the Ctrl+Alt+P keyboard shortcut. Full Dock Panel Mode (Default) Mounts directly into Anki's main workspace as a QDockWidget. Docking Mechanics: Can be placed on either the left or right sidebar. Full Data Delivery: Renders the complete status suite β€” dual speedometer gauges, F1-style countdown lights, session strategy configurations, real-time metrics, system notifications, and the system media control panel. Auto-Toggling: Automatically shows during review sessions and hides on the deck browser screen. Compact Widget Overlay Mode (please leave comments if you encounter issues with this mode) A minimalist, floating HUD (PacerMiniWidget) optimized for clean workspace aesthetics. Frameless Design: A translucent, frameless overlay that stays out of the way of card content. Stays On Top: Uses WindowStaysOnTopHint to keep metrics visible over card content. Draggable: Left-click and drag to reposition anywhere on your screen. Context Menu & Toggles: Right-click to switch back to Full Dock Mode or toggle the Mini Audio Overlay Display directly on the widget face. Advanced Timing Strategy Engines You can cycle through three distinct psychological pacing modes using the Mode Button at the top of the panel: Interval Mode Active Accumulation: The clock tracks your performance ONLY when you are inside the active review interface. Leaving for the deck browser or main menus immediately freezes the timer. Psychological Baseline Retention: Pausing the review screen freezes your 5-minute rolling pace calculations. When you resume halfway through a session, the dial does not drop to 0 cards/hr; instead, it holds your exact momentum, maintaining your psychological motivation to keep the needle high. Break Structures: No built-in forced break periods, giving you direct, uninterrupted control. (issue with getting the number of sessions to display past 3, but the pacing is consistent) Pomodoro Mode Structured Sprints: Built on high-intensity blocks (Default: 50-minute work / 10-minute break, but can be customized). State Behavior: Operates like the Interval timer (only running during active card reviews), and automatically pauses rolling pace recording during scheduled breaks. Manual Overrides: Includes a Pause override button to let you step away for unexpected real-world interruptions without ruining your session statistics, alongside a Skip Break action to breeze past intervals. macOS Engine: Talks directly to the Apple MediaRemote API with a quick binary fallback on nowplaying-cli. If you have a Windows or Linux, you can just toggle the music function off in the addon configurations Added a Metronome function you can toggle on or off, for auditory feedback on your pace. Notes: You should be able to adjust the font and speedometers to some extent with this addon, but feel free to leave comments suggesting edits or issues with the function. Added widget resizing function, and now interval should operate smoothly
