Description

At the moment only the V1 scheduler is supported. This release has no effect if you use the "Anki 2.1 scheduler" that used to be called "experimental scheduler (V2)" - if you want to adjust V2 there's a less tested version on github . Only use this add-on if you know about the internals of Anki's scheduler and if you can verify that the code works as expected. Use it at your own risk. If you misconfigure this add-on it will permanently damage all future scheduling. When you rate a card as Again, Hard, or Easy the "ease" value of this card is changed. To get the next interval the prior interval is multiplied by the ease value. The default ease is 250. If you press Again the ease is decreased by 20, if you press Hard it is decreased by 15 and if you press Easy it is increased by 15, see https://apps.ankiweb.net/docs/manual.html#what-spaced-repetition-algorithm-does-anki-use This add-on allows you to change these values. You need to edit the source code of this add-on. The configuration dialog of 2.1 is not supported. I don't use this add-on myself because I like the built-ins values and because I also use the mobile apps. This add-on can't affect reviews on mobile. So reviews from mobile will still use the built-in values. If you used this add-on rating a card on mobile or on the desktop would produce different scheduling. I don't want this. But maybe you don't mind this or you want to experiment. If you use this add-on you should know that after you rate a card Anki calculates the next interval first. For this calculation Anki uses the ease factor. This is still the unmodified ease. Only after calculating the next interval in a second step Anki modifies the ease value based on your rating. This add-on only modifies this second step. This add-on does not modify when the ease is modified. for details see https://www.reddit.com/r/Anki/comments/aaxzbz/addon_that_changes_default_ease_penalty_for_hard/ or the add-on source-code. Feedback, improvements and error reports are welcome. It's best to post them on github You might also be interested in these add-ons: - Straight Reward: Ease Factor grows at 5 straight "Good" rating in review Also relevant: - Reset Ease - ease modify extended
