Description

Capnolog Case Prep connects your Anki collection to Capnolog , which plans what an anesthesiology resident should study next from their own ACGME case log and the ABA content outline. This add-on is the desktop half. It runs in the background and mostly needs nothing from you. What it does Reports coverage. Posts a snapshot of how many cards you hold under each outline item. Counts only — no card content, no note text, no field data, ever. Applies the day's plan. Unsuspends a bounded number of cards under exact tag paths, and retires what you have outgrown. Protects the queue. It refuses to unlock anything while your backlog is already underwater, and can park low-priority due cards so a 900-card queue stays survivable. Parking is suspension only — never rescheduling — and parked cards come back on their own as the queue clears. Rebuilds "Capnolog · Today" for the cards it just unlocked. When it runs On profile open, after an AnkiWeb sync, when you finish a review session, and on a timer. Nothing needs pressing. It never writes to your collection while you are mid-review, and a one-line summary of anything waiting appears on the deck list. Staying in control Every collection write asks first. If you would rather not be asked, auto_apply lets a capped number of cards per day through unattended — off by default, and only ever for unlocking and retiring. Every applied change goes to a local ledger, and Undo last change re-suspends what the last pass unlocked. Tools → Capnolog Case Prep → Status… says what happened and why. Requirements A Capnolog account to pair, and Anki 2.1.50 or newer. Your pairing token is only ever sent over HTTPS; the add-on refuses a plain- http:// server address.
