Description

Print Selected Cards This add-on exports Anki cards into a printable HTML file. It started as a modified version of Basic Printing Support , mainly because the original add-on was useful but too limited for many people. This version is meant to be more practical when you only want to print certain cards, not your whole collection. What it can do Print/export cards selected in the Browser. Export cards by deck. Export cards by tag. Show both sides of the card, not just one side. Save the result as an HTML file that you can print or save as PDF. Let you choose the output file name and location. Handle images and media more safely. Work better with LaTeX / MathJax cards. Avoid freezing when you have a very large number of tags. Shortcut Use: Shift + P You can also open it from: Tools β†’ Print Cards to HTML… In some Anki versions, it may also appear in the Browser menu. Why this version was updated The older version worked, but it had a few annoying problems. For example, users with very large tag collections could get freezes when opening the tag selector. This version uses a searchable tag picker instead of trying to load every tag at once. It also fixes a Windows path issue that could cause errors around paths like: C:\Users\... There were also some general cleanups for newer Anki versions, safer exporting, and better packaging. How to use Open Anki. Select cards in the Browser, or choose to export by deck/tag. Press Shift + P . Choose what you want to export. Save the HTML file. Open the file and print it, or save it as PDF from your browser. Notes This add-on does not change your cards. It only creates a separate printable HTML file. It should work well with normal Anki cards and many custom card types, but very complex templates may not look exactly the same as they do inside Anki. Cards that depend heavily on custom JavaScript or other add-ons may need manual checking after export. If the rendered card output does not look right for your note type, you can try changing the render mode in the add-on config. Config options Some behavior can be changed from the add-on config, including: shortcut render mode whether to include card styling whether to include child decks whether to open the exported file after saving tag search result limit minimum characters before tag search starts Credits This add-on is based on the idea of the original Basic Printing Support add-on: https://ankiweb.net/shared/info/1025789669 This version focuses on making card selection, deck/tag export, and printable output more usable in everyday Anki collections.
