Description

πŸ” Anki Magnifier Pull out a magnifying glass over any card with one keystroke. Built with Image Occlusion cards in mind: zoom into tiny labels, dense diagrams, and anatomy images without leaving the reviewer. Unlike screen zoom, the lens redraws the card at a larger size, so text and images stay sharp instead of getting blurry. How to use it Start reviewing (it also works in the Browser's card preview). Press Cmd+Shift+G (Mac) or Ctrl+Shift+G (Windows/Linux). A magnifying glass appears under your mouse. Move the mouse to look around the card. The lens follows you. Press the same shortcut again, or Esc , to put it away. Adjusting while the lens is open (no menus needed) β€’ ] / [ : zoom in / out β€’ Shift+] / Shift+[ : bigger / smaller lens β€’ Shift + scroll : smooth zoom β€’ Shift + Option + scroll (Mac) or Shift + Alt + scroll (Windows) : smooth resize A small label on the lens shows the current zoom or size while you adjust. Your last zoom and lens size are remembered for next time. Image Occlusion support Works with Anki's built-in Image Occlusion. When you click a mask to reveal it or toggle masks, the lens updates right away. When you flip to the answer, the lens stays open and shows the answer. Settings Go to Tools β†’ Add-ons β†’ Anki Magnifier β†’ Config to open the settings window: β€’ Shortcuts: change the show/hide key and every lens key. Click a box and press the new key combo, or clear it to turn that key off. β€’ Scroll: choose which key you hold while scrolling to zoom or resize (Shift, Option/Alt, Cmd/Ctrl, a combination, or off). β€’ Starting zoom and lens size. β€’ Close lens on next card: switch this on to put the lens away automatically each time a new card appears. If a key you pick is already used by Anki while reviewing, or two of your keys are the same, the settings window warns you before saving. Notes β€’ Magnifies the card content only, not Anki's buttons or menus. β€’ On Windows, Cmd shortcuts become Ctrl and Option becomes Alt. β€’ Cmd+Shift+G / Ctrl+Shift+G doesn't conflict with any of Anki's built-in shortcuts. If another add-on uses it, pick a new one in Config.
