Description

PokeJourney adds a Pokémon progression system alongside your normal Anki reviews. Choose a region. Pick a starter. Train and evolve Pokémon. Challenge Gym Leaders. Collect badges. Fill your Pokédex. Hunt Legendaries and Mythicals. Your normal Anki workflow stays the same. Every card simply moves your journey forward. 🐣 Choose your region and starter Start your journey in: Kanto · Johto · Hoenn · Sinnoh · Unova · Kalos · Alola · Galar · Hisui · Paldea Choose your starter and begin at Level 1. Answering Anki cards progresses your Pokémon through its levels. Pokémon evolve at their appropriate evolution levels, with an evolution event when you reach them. Take an evolutionary line all the way to Level 100 to master it. Then continue building your collection. 🔴 Catch Pokémon As you progress through a region, you'll encounter new Pokémon. When you catch one, you have a choice. You can train your new Pokémon, or open Box / Swap and choose something else. You can: Train your latest catch Box it for later Switch to another Pokémon you've caught Return to an older Pokémon you were already training Progress is saved when you swap, so you aren't forced to finish one Pokémon before using another. 📦 Pokémon Box Your Box is your collection and your team-management screen. Caught Pokémon remain available even when they aren't currently active. Switch Pokémon whenever you feel like working on a different evolution line and return later without losing your previous progress. ⚔️ Gym Challenges Each region has its own challenges and badges. Choose a Gym Leader and begin a challenge. While a challenge is active, answered cards count toward the Gym Challenge instead of leveling your current Pokémon. Complete the required reviews to defeat the leader and earn their badge. Gym victories have their own victory event and fanfare, and your collected badges remain visible as part of your regional journey. 📅 Today's Journey PokeJourney tracks your daily progress while you review, including: Cards Today 🔥 Study Streak 🎁 Daily Gift ⚡ Legendary progress ✨ Next Mythical milestone This gives you something to work toward during today's session while your Pokédex and regional completion provide the longer-term goals. 🎁 Daily Gifts You don't need a huge study day to earn something. Complete 10 cards in a day → unlock your Daily Gift. Daily Gifts provide collectibles and special Gift Pokémon. Some Pokémon don't fit neatly into the normal linear training system, particularly unusual or branching evolutionary families. These can be awarded as Gift Pokémon instead. Gift Pokémon arrive at: Level 100 · Mastered They're rewards to collect rather than another evolution line you need to train. ⚡ Legendary Pokémon For the big Anki days: Complete 1,000 cards in a single Anki day → earn a Legendary Pokémon. You'll receive a Legendary you don't already own. Legendary Pokémon arrive at: Level 100 · Mastered One Legendary can be earned per qualifying day. ✨ Mythical Pokémon Mythicals reward consistency rather than volume. Maintain your study streak and reach the required streak milestones to earn Mythical Pokémon. After earning one, continue building your streak toward the next milestone. Mythicals arrive at: Level 100 · Mastered So the three reward systems have different goals: 🎁 10 cards → Daily Gift ⚡ 1,000 cards in one day → Legendary ✨ Study streak milestones → Mythical 📖 Pokédex Browse your regional Pokédex to see your collection and progress. The Pokédex displays Pokémon numbers, sprites, caught/mastered status, evolution information and special unlock requirements. Locked Legendaries show their card requirement, while Mythicals show their streak-based requirement. 🏆 Trophy Case The Trophy Case is the record of your overall PokeJourney progress. Track your: Regions mastered Pokémon completion Gym challenges and badges Legendary Pokémon Mythical Pokémon Daily Gifts Study streak Each region also has its own completion progress. 🔊 Event sounds Major events have their own sounds: Pokémon Catch · Evolution · Gym Victory · Mastery · Daily Gift · Legendary · Mythical Prefer silent Anki? Turn Event Sounds off in Settings. Regular card answers remain silent. ↔️ Choose your layout Put the PokeJourney panel wherever it fits your Anki setup: Right · Left · Top · Bottom You can also minimize the panel when you want more space and restore it when you want to see your journey again. 🎬 Built around reviewing PokeJourney is designed to sit alongside Anki rather than replace it. It does not replace Anki's scheduler. Major gameplay events temporarily block Anki's answer controls so you don't accidentally answer another card while an evolution, catch or victory animation is playing. If several events trigger together, they're queued and shown sequentially rather than overlapping. Your Pokémon and collection progress are saved between sessions. The idea Anki is still Anki. You're still doing the same cards you would have done anyway. PokeJourney just gives those cards another purpose. A few reviews might level your Pokémon. A longer session might evolve it. Another session might earn a Gym badge. Ten cards gets your Daily Gift. A streak can eventually earn a Mythical. And if you somehow make it through 1,000 cards in one day, there's a Legendary waiting for you. Every card moves the journey forward. New: Multi-device progress PokeJourney can now detect reviews completed on AnkiMobile or another computer after you sync with AnkiWeb. When you return to PokeJourney, those reviews are automatically added to your Pokémon and Gym progress. Just make sure you sync Anki before switching devices.
