Buries repeatedly failed cards and opens an AI chat with the card's question for explanations, memory hooks, and card rewrite audits.
Automatically buries cards answered again too many times (default five within 24 hours), with configurable options to tag or flag difficult cards.
Transforms Anki into a configurable visual command center with exam countdown, one-click next session, deck velocity, leech monitoring, streak and retention stats.
Disables same-day spacing/randomization of new sibling cards so they appear consecutively in their proper order, though only for new cards and incompatible with the v3 scheduler.
Plays Kahoot lobby music on card fronts, answer-reveal sounds on backs, and correct/incorrect sounds after Anki ratings, with streak pitch changes and selectable thinking-sound categories.
Buries relearning cards after repeated Again answers and suspends review cards with intervals of at least 140 days, configurable via tags, for Anki's experimental v2 scheduler only.
This Anki addon will automatically bury cards that you have repeatedly failed. If you fail the same card 3 times consecutively on the same day, the card is buried. (Buried cards are disabled until the next day)
The default fail streak length is 3, though this can be changed if you want to allow for a longer fail streak. (I chose 3 as a somewhat arbitrary number, another number may work better for you!)
There is also a pause button added to the Tools menu. When paused, fail streaks are not checked and not enforced, so you can have an infinitely long fail streak while the plugin is paused.
The plugin can be configured via Tools->Add-ons, then select Bury After Fail Streak, then click Config in the lower right.
Each configuration key is documented in the bury_after_fail_streak/config.md file.
Visit the AnkiWeb addon page, then follow the instructions.
Use the release.sh script to generate an ankiaddon file. Then, install the ankiaddon file.
This plugin officially supports Anki 2.1.63, but it may also support other versions. I haven't tested.
