Description

Overview Deck Exit & Stuck Card Auto Sync automatically starts Anki's normal synchronization process in two situations: When you leave the review screen and return to Decks, Browse, Stats, or another Anki screen. When you remain on the same card longer than a configurable amount of time. This can help keep your desktop collection synchronized during long study sessions without requiring you to press the Sync button manually. Configuration After installing and restarting Anki: Open Tools β†’ Add-ons . Select Deck Exit & Stuck Card Auto Sync . Click Config . Choose how long Anki should wait before syncing while you remain on the same card. Enable or disable synchronization when leaving the review screen. Click Save . The default same-card timeout is 180 seconds (3 minutes) . The duplicate-sync cooldown prevents two automatic syncs from starting almost simultaneously. For example, if the same-card timeout starts a sync and you immediately return to the Decks screen, the second sync request is skipped. Requirements AnkiWeb synchronization must already be configured. The normal Sync button must work before using this add-on. Internet access is required for synchronization. Compatibility This add-on is intended for recent versions of desktop Anki on macOS, Windows, and Linux. It does not run on AnkiMobile for iPhone or iPad, and it does not add automatic syncing to the mobile application. AnkiMobile users must still tap Synchronize in the mobile app. Notes The add-on uses Anki's standard synchronization function. It does not handle or store your AnkiWeb password and does not send your collection anywhere other than through Anki's normal synchronization system. If you already use another automatic-sync add-on, consider disabling one of them to prevent overlapping sync requests. Version history 1.0.0 Added automatic syncing when leaving the review screen. Added a configurable same-card timeout. Added duplicate-sync protection. Added optional notifications when an automatic sync begins.
