Description

Deck Exam Indicator Author: Smithertens This add‑on shows exam countdown banners, supports per‑deck toggles, and inherits parent deck settings but in toolbar and seems to interface pretty well with current anki version. How to use: -Set an exam date --Tools → Exam Indicator → Set Exam Date for Deck --Choose a date from the calendar popup. -Toggle decks individually --Tools → Exam Indicator → Deck settings → hover over the desired deck --Check/uncheck to enable or disable the banner --Check/uncheck to enable or disable the pre flip recall warning --Check/uncheck to enable or disable the auto populate reschedule tool in anki to allow you to manually reschedule the date or amount of days to reschedule a card until. Helpful if you would like to schedule for a day before the exam to do a cram review session. -Choose comparison mode --Tools → Exam Indicator → Compare Against… --Click which one and the check will display what it is comparing against -Review cards --If a card’s next due date is on or after your exam (based on selected mode), a banner will appear. -View all settings --Tools → Exam Indicator → Show Exam Dates --See a table of all deck settings and countdowns. -Reschedule Card ***If you do not have the auto populate button enabled for a deck and would still like to reschedule a card this is how I do it and a hotkey tip that helped save some typing fatigue. --Choose a date to reschedule manually based on the date of exam if desired. --The default hotkey to manually set a due date is Ctr, Shift, D. --I personally change hotkey to the ' key because it is right next to Enter key. This is just a keyboard proximity thing so I can immediately hit the reschedule button and after you put in the "days until" one time, it will autofill that same number until you change it so can just click " ' and Enter" with two fingers right next to each other . NEW IN UPDATE 6/13/26: UI improvements: --"Compare against" is now a check box drop down so it no longer requires blind cycling. --"Deck settings" now show the exam date next to the deck so it does not require a separate step to check what the current date is. --A non red banner option in the toolbar. NEW FEATURES: --Per suggestion, now in "Deck settings", there is an option to toggle on or off a pre flip indicator to allow you to preview if a card is possibly already going to be pushed beyond the exam date. --Per suggestion, now in "Deck settings", a toggle option to auto populate the "reschedule exam to this date or this many days away.." setting to automate pushing cards to a cram review date before your exam.
