Description

⚠️ Beta 1 Release: This is the Beta 1 release. The add-on is still under active development, so you may encounter bugs or unexpected behavior. We highly encourage and appreciate your feedback via this Google Form to help us improve. 🧭 Anki Compass Know what to study next. Anki Compass is a study-intelligence dashboard for Anki. It doesn't replace Anki's scheduler and it never touches your card intervals or due dates. Instead, it reads your existing study history and answers one simple question: What should I study right now? ✨ Features Compass Priority Score β€” A smart 0–100 score for each deck or tag that tells you what needs your attention the most. It looks at factors like weak cards, recent mistakes, and overdue cards. You can always click "Why?" to see exactly how the score was calculated. Weakest Cards β€” A quick ranking of the cards you are struggling with the most across your entire collection. Knowledge Map β€” Visual progress bars showing your mastery level per deck or per tag. One-Click Study Sessions β€” Click "Start Study" to automatically build a normal Anki filtered deck focused on the recommended topic. Bilingual UI β€” Fully supports English and Vietnamese (TiαΊΏng Việt). 100% Private & Offline β€” No internet connection required, no accounts, and no data tracking. Everything stays strictly on your computer. Note: Anki Compass requires Anki version 2.1.45 or newer. If you are using a very old version, please update Anki first. βš™οΈ Settings & Configuration You can easily customize Anki Compass to fit your study style. In Anki, go to Tools β†’ Anki Compass β†’ Settings (βš™) to change: Language: Choose between English and Vietnamese (or set it to Auto). Theme: Choose Light, Dark, or System theme. Study Preferences: Change how many cards are pulled into a study session by default. πŸ› οΈ Troubleshooting "Something went wrong" dialog β€” Click View Details to see what happened, then click Retry to scan again. Dashboard looks empty / "calibrating" β€” Compass needs at least a little review history to understand your habits. Just study your normal decks for a bit and refresh the dashboard later! Knowledge Map shows decks instead of Tags β€” If you don't use tags on your cards yet, Compass will automatically switch back to showing your decks instead. A "Compass: [Topic]" deck is left over in my Anki β€” This is a normal Anki filtered deck. You can empty or delete it just like any other deck. Compass will simply make a new one the next time you use "Start Study".
