Safely rebuilds filtered decks on startup and shutdown with sync safeguards, adds Rebuild All and Empty All buttons, and optionally rebuilds after adding notes.
Converts Anki note types without triggering full sync by creating new notes and deleting old ones, preserving media, review history, tags, and undo.
Removes the requirement to sync the entire collection when changing a note type, but users must sync all devices before and after to avoid data loss.
Keeps the note type in Ankiβs add window unchanged except when selected there, preventing unintended changes from imports or note-type edits elsewhere.
Exports and imports Anki note type definitions to plain text files in mirrored directory hierarchies, with searchable selective export, clean overwrite, round-trip editing, and lossless synchronization via metadata files.
Automatically fills a Date field with today's date for new cards using the Current Affairs π° note type, useful for current affairs, news tracking, and study notes.
Currently, anki asks you for a full sync as soon as you add a field/card type to a note. This is actually useless when the note is new and has not been synchronized, since there is no change to tell ankiweb about.
So this add-ons simply ensure that no full sync is required when a note type not synchronized is used.
I should note that this has been created as a PR in Anki, so this may eventually becomes useless.
There is a rare risk, which I can't avoid, appart by telling you not to do it. Here is what you should not do:
If it's the case, you may have bug during review (if you changed the number of fields) or you may simply find that you have incorrect card/field content.
As ankiweb is closed source, I don't actually now entirely for sure what occurs there. I may have missed something. In the worse case, anki will tell you there is a database inconsistency and ask for a full sync.
