Google Translate (Updated for Anki 25.09+)

A community-maintained fork of the Google Translate Anki add-on (original AnkiWeb id 1536291224), updated to work on modern Anki (25.09+, Qt6 / PyQt6, Python 3.13). The original project is archived and no longer maintained.

What this fork fixes

Add-on failed to load on Anki 25.09+ — the generated UI (form.py) imported PyQt5, which ships only PyQt6 now. Regenerated for PyQt6.
Strict PyQt6 enums / removed exec_() — Qt.CustomContextMenu and QMenu.exec_() updated to the scoped PyQt6 API.
Alternative Translations crashed on Python 3.13 — the bundled httpx imported the removed cgi stdlib module (PEP 594); replaced its single use of cgi.parse_header with an email.message equivalent.

Core translation, field filters, and the editor/browser buttons all work.

Anki 23.10 – 25.09+ (Qt6).

Installation

AnkiWeb: install via the add-on's AnkiWeb page (see Releases / repo description for the code).
Manual: download the .ankiaddon from Releases and open it with Anki, or copy this folder into your Anki addons21/ directory.
