Copies the current note's contents into a new Add window via adjustable shortcuts from Add, Edit Current, Browser, or reviews, though newer Anki built-in duplication reduces its usefulness.
Creates multiple notes at once by transforming a temporary note in Anki’s add window, with configurable fields, cloze support, and cross-note links.
Copies or cuts highlighted editor content into new notes or directly into the database, with special scheduling for tagged cards.
Opens notes from the browser in separate external editor windows via context menu or configurable shortcut, without continuous note autosync.
Opens independent Browser windows for side-by-side deck work, with per-window layout/search memory, tiling, session restore, and copyable field content.
Opens Anki's inspector in a separate resizable window, supports multiple inspectors simultaneously, remembers last window size, and aids non-main-window HTML development.
May be you want to have a "add" window for each type of Note, so you won't have to regularly change note type.
Maybe you want to see simultaneusly the result of multiple searchs in the browser.
May be you started a note. Then you have an idea for another note, but don't want to submit the first note already. Thus you need to note adders.
May be you want to see multiple time the about window (even if I must confess I don't understand why you would want that). Anyway, this add-on allow you to open most windows multiple time.
To open a new window of a kind, just do what you need to open the window.
If you want that some kind of window is opened only once, read section "configuration".
Currently, when you change the note type of an «add cards» windows, all types are changed. In order to fight this undesired behavior, you should also install Add-On number 424778276
The list of column used in the browser are saved when the browser closed. It means that when you open a browser, it will have the same column as the last browser window you closed. So:
I do realize that this rule is a little strange; it was created assuming there is a single browser, and I prefer not to change it.
It may be the case that when you change the configuration about a window which is already opened, you'll see a message error. It should not create real trouble. Please report otherwise.
This may only works with windows which uses aqt's dialog manager. In general, they are big windows, whose have no direct effect on the window calling it. I.e. it won't work with a prompt asking you to confirm/cancel something, or to say «ok». It should work with the browser.
This add-on redefine:
aqt.__init__'s class DialogManager. More precisely, the
new class inherits from the last one. When a window may be opened a
single time, the former method is called.aqt.editcurrent's method EditCurrent.onReset is
redefined. Thus this add-on may be incompatible with other add-on
changing this.In the map "multiple", add «, "windowName" : false», where windowName is the name of the window you want to see open only once.
The most standard windows name are:
By default, you can't open the two last ones more than once. Because this would make no sens. You can change the configuration if for some reason you want to do it.
Please use add-on Multiple 'Add' and 'Browser' Windows, with addon numbers instead.
