<p style="font-size: 1.1em; color: #4a5568;"> Ever wished you could view e-slides from Leeds, Leeds Virtual Pathology, Recut Club, PathPresenter, RCPA / Sectra UniView (and more...)? Ever wished your e-slides could load faster? Ever wish the banner that tells you what the diagnosis is before you even see the slide was gone? </p>
<blockquote style="background-color: #ebf8ff; border-left: 4px solid #3182ce; margin: 20px 0; padding: 15px 20px; font-size: 1.3em; color: #2b6cb0;"> Your wish has been granted. <br><br> <strong>Introducing: Pathology E-Slide Viewer</strong> </blockquote>
<ul style="padding-left: 20px; margin-bottom: 25px;"> <li style="margin-bottom: 10px;">Pathology E-Slide viewer creates an in-Anki browser that instantly loads a slide from a link you provide. You can pan and zoom around the slides like you would naturally in your browser.</li> <li style="margin-bottom: 10px;">Your next e-slide gets pre-loaded in the background while you look at the current one, saving you time when you switch cards.</li> <li style="margin-bottom: 10px;">For Leeds, Recut Club, and PathPresenter you can toggle the banners to give you more screen real-estate and hide unwanted information about the case.</li> <li style="margin-bottom: 10px;">For Recut club (and optionally PathPresenter) you can store your credentials with local encryption to facilitate auto-login.</li> </ul>
<h2 style="color: #2c5282; font-size: 1.3em; border-bottom: 1px solid #e2e8f0; padding-bottom: 5px;">Flexible Viewing</h2> <p> You can view the slides in multiple ways. You can have it side-by-side in a single Anki window, you can drag the window out to have the separate window to make the most of a multi monitor setup. </p>
<h2 style="color: #2c5282; font-size: 1.3em; border-bottom: 1px solid #e2e8f0; padding-bottom: 5px;">The Way It Works</h2> <p style="background-color: #f8f9fa; padding: 15px; border-radius: 5px; border: 1px solid #dee2e6;"> The way it works is it creates two in-anki browser windows, one for your current slide and one with your next slide and loads both slides. Then when you move to your next slide it brings the pre-loaded browser window forwards, and loads the next one in another hidden window. </p>
<h2 style="color: #2c5282; font-size: 1.3em; border-bottom: 1px solid #e2e8f0; padding-bottom: 5px; margin-top: 30px;">Here is how to use the add-on:</h2> <ol style="padding-left: 20px; margin-bottom: 25px;"> <li style="margin-bottom: 5px;">Download the addon from anki</li> <li style="margin-bottom: 5px;">Go to create a new card</li> <li style="margin-bottom: 5px;">Under card type select <strong>'pathology e-slide'</strong></li> <li style="margin-bottom: 5px;">Enter the question stem, slide URL, Diagnosis, and any Notes/Discussion/Learning points you want added beneath the answer.</li> <li style="margin-bottom: 5px;"><strong>Do the Card!</strong></li> </ol>
<div style="background-color: #fff3cd; border-left: 4px solid #ffc107; padding: 15px; border-radius: 4px; color: #856404; margin-top: 30px;"> <strong>Limitation:</strong> The main limitation is that this card will only work on the mac/linux/windows anki program. It won't work on mobile unfortunately (as mobile clients cannot load the add-on). </div>
<p style="margin-top: 25px; color: #4a5568;"> As this is a first release I am sure there will be a few bugs! If you run into any, please feel free to report them on my <a href="https://github.com/mooman36/Anki-e-slide-viewer/issues" style="color: #3182ce; text-decoration: underline;" target="_blank">GitHub</a>. </p>
