Description

LLM Concept Tagger & 3D Knowledge Graph Turn your Anki collection into a connected knowledge map. LLM Concept Tagger uses an LLM to analyze selected note fields, generate useful English concept tags, and connect related notes through shared concepts. You can then explore those connections in an interactive Obsidian-style 3D graph. Main Features Analyze one or multiple fields together . Works with multilingual notes, including: English German Persian Generates English concept tags, such as: llm_link::concept::photosynthesis llm_link::concept::movement llm_link::concept::grammar Choose between 1 and 20 tags per note . Supports: DeepSeek Custom OpenAI-compatible APIs Replaces previously generated llm_link::... tags when rerun. Only processes cards selected in the Anki Browser. Does not modify note fields. 3D Concept Graph The add-on includes an interactive 3D knowledge graph: Blue nodes represent notes. Purple nodes represent concepts. Connected notes share related concept tags. Search notes, IDs, and concepts. Expand the graph to include other notes with shared tags. Change: Node size Link thickness Link distance Adjust graph forces and layout. Graph preferences are remembered. Graph Controls Drag: Rotate the graph. Mouse wheel: Zoom. Right-drag: Pan. Single-click: Focus and highlight a node. Double-click a concept: Show cards with that concept tag. Double-click a note: Show that note and cards sharing any of its concepts. Configuration Open Anki. Go to Tools β†’ Add-ons . Select LLM Concept Tagger . Click Config . Enter your API key and confirm the provider settings. Restart Anki. Example DeepSeek Configuration { "deepseek": { "base_url": "https://api.deepseek.com", "model": "deepseek-v4-flash", "api_key": "YOUR_API_KEY" } } A custom OpenAI-compatible API URL and model can also be configured. How to Generate Tags Open the Anki Browser. Select the cards you want to analyze. Choose LLM Concept Tag Selected Cards from the Browser menu. Select one or more fields, such as: Front Back Definition Example Choose the maximum number of tags per note. Confirm the provider and model. Click Start . When processing finishes, the add-on displays how many notes were: Analyzed Skipped Tagged How to Open the Graph Select tagged cards in the Anki Browser. Choose Show LLM Concept Graph . Explore the notes and their shared concepts. You can also enable Expand shared tags to include other collection notes connected to the selected concepts. Privacy and API Costs When generating tags, the contents of the selected fields are sent to your configured LLM provider. Review your provider’s privacy policy before processing sensitive information. Your provider may charge for API usage. The graph view does not call the LLM and works offline. Notes Tags are applied to notes because Anki stores tags at the note level. An internet connection is required for AI analysis. The 3D graph libraries are bundled and work offline. Backing up your collection before using add-ons that modify tags is recommended.
