Description

This only works for review cards (and not for new cards or cards in learning ). Studying in a fixed order is discouraged by Anki so this feature is deliberately not built in, see this FAQ entry . adds menu entries to the browser menu bar under Edit this add-on sorts a filtered deck according to the method mentioned by the Anki creator in these threads: https://forums.ankiweb.net/t/ordering-cards-in-filtered-deck/16809 and https://forums.ankiweb.net/t/support-for-filtered-deck-with-specific-review-order/12885/2 the first card in a filtered deck has a due number of -100000, the second of -99999 and so on. When you review a deck Anki does not strictly adhere to these numbers. Instead it puts learning cards first. Anki was always like this: in 2.1.15 and 2.1.65. In 2.1.15 E.g. in 2.1.15 with the old python scheduler: self._lrnQueue (see https://github.com/ankitects/anki/blob/442df9d6689bc0395e80c4c28282c2f7814e2a51/anki/schedv2.py#L499 ) consists of a list of tuples, each tuple consists of the due number and the card, id, see https://github.com/ankitects/anki/blob/442df9d6689bc0395e80c4c28282c2f7814e2a51/anki/schedv2.py#L486 . And the card id is always lower than the current time = cutoff in self._getLrnCard, see https://github.com/ankitects/anki/blob/2.1.15/anki/schedv2.py#L499 also suspended cards are never included in filtered decks by anki. this is an enhanced version of the no longer supported add-on "Create Filtered Deck from the Browser", https://ankiweb.net/shared/info/861263371
