Description

PAnki Extra Formatting adds three buttons to the note editor for building rich "Extra" fields on study cards: a Clinical key callout, a Memory hook callout, and a collapsible Topic blurb . It was made for med/PA school cloze decks, but it works with any note type that has a field named Extra . Buttons (in the Add window, Edit, and the Browser editor) 🔑 Key (Ctrl+Shift+K): a pink callout box for the single must-know clinical fact. 🧠 Hook (Ctrl+Shift+H): an amber callout box for a mnemonic or the logic that ties a topic together. 📘 Blurb (Ctrl+Shift+J): a topic block with a title, a subtitle, and labeled sections. Put each section's label on its first line and separate sections with a blank line. Features Key and hook callouts can go at the top of the Extra field automatically, always in the order keys, then hooks, then everything else. Untick the box to insert at the cursor instead. Callout headings can be renamed, e.g. "⚠️ Red flag" or "💊 Drug of choice". Callout colours can be changed with a colour picker, which includes 12 preset swatches and the system colour wheel. Callouts use inline styles, so they look the same on desktop, AnkiWeb, AnkiMobile, and AnkiDroid with no extra setup. Inline HTML such as <b>, <i>, and <br> is kept as-is. A blank line starts a new paragraph. Notes The Topic blurb uses CSS classes ( extra-collapse-wrap , extra-topic , extra-topic-title , extra-topic-subtitle , extra-topic-body , extra-section-label ). Add styling for these classes to your note type's card template to get the collapsible look. Without it, the blurb shows as plain text. Add-ons run on desktop Anki only. The formatted cards still sync and display on every device. Version 1.0
