Description

Easily export your Anki cards (answer side) as high-quality PNG images! This addon is perfect for sharing specific cards, creating visual study aids, or incorporating your Anki content into presentations and other documents. Key Features Batch Export: Select multiple cards in the Anki Browser and export them all at once. Organized Output: Images are automatically saved into subfolders named after their respective decks. Image Embedding: Automatically embeds local images (from your Anki media collection) and web images directly into the PNG. HTML & CSS Rendering: Renders the HTML and CSS of your card's answer field, aiming to preserve its appearance. MathJax Support: Attempts to render mathematical formulas written using MathJax syntax (e.g., \(...\) , \[...\] ) within your card's HTML. Progress Dialog: A clear progress bar shows the export status, with an option to cancel. Customizable Output: Configure image width, quality, default background/text colors, rendering delays, and padding via the config.json file. How to Use Open the Anki Browser . Select the card(s) you wish to export. Go to the "Cards" menu in the Browser. Click on "Export Card(s) to PNG..." . Choose a destination folder where the PNG images will be saved. The addon will process and save the selected cards. A progress dialog will appear. Important Notes & Limitations LaTeX: This addon does not support Anki's native LaTeX tags that Anki pre-renders into images. However, it does include MathJax support . If your cards use MathJax syntax directly in the HTML, these should be rendered in the output PNGs. Ensure your MathJax is correctly configured in your card templates if you rely on this. Configuration: Advanced users can fine-tune settings by editing the config.json file located in the addon's installation folder ( Tools > Add-ons > Anki Card to PNG Exporter > View Files ).
