Nocturne (by Ankicraft)
Anki's default interface looks functional. After three hours of reviewing cards, "functional" starts to feel grey, mismatched, and hard on the eyes. Nocturne replaces the entire color system — every border, button, background, and state color — with a palette designed to be coherent and comfortable across all of Anki's views. 🌙
Nocturne gives Anki the visual polish it's missing.
FEATURES

HOW TO USE
- Install from AnkiWeb (Tools → Add-ons → Get Add-ons).
- Restart Anki.
- The new color theme is active automatically — no configuration needed.
- To toggle dark/dark mode, use Anki's built-in night mode setting as normal.
SETTINGS
No user-facing settings. Nocturne works silently in the background. If you want to inspect or reset the internal state, go to Tools → Add-ons → Nocturne → Config.
COMPATIBILITY
Tested on Anki 24.x (Windows). Should work on macOS and Linux; if you run into any visual issues, please leave a comment on the add-on page and I'll look into it.
