Description

Get to know cards before really learning them β€” without ever changing their status. You preview/"pre-learn" cards (cycle through them, reveal and hide the answer), and they stay exactly as they are (e.g. new). Only when you explicitly release a card does it leave the preview, ready to be learned normally afterwards. Concept A preview is a named container backed by the tag preview::<name> Cards with that tag are "in the preview"; releasing a card just removes the tag β€” scheduling is never touched Multiple independent previews (e.g. one per subject) exist side by side Cards enter via a saved search filter; optional batches show only N cards at a time Usage Tools β†’ Preview Learning … opens the manager Create a preview: name, search filter (e.g. deck:"BGB AT" is:new), optional batch size β–Ά Lernen opens the learning window Keyboard shortcuts (learning window) ← / < and β†’ / >: previous / next card (in the active table) Space / Enter: show / hide the answer D: release (the selected cards, otherwise the current one) B: open the current card in the Browser to edit it Single-click a row to show that card; Cmd/Shift-click to multi-select (the shown card stays); double-click a waiting card to move it into the batch; right-click a column header to choose columns. Nothing here answers a card or writes to the scheduler β€” rendering is read-only, and the only change is adding/removing the preview tag (undoable). Developed for modern Anki (Qt6).
