Description

πŸ– Draw with iPad/iPhone (macOS Continuity) Bring the power of the Apple Pencil straight to your Anki flashcards! This add-on leverages Apple's native Continuity Annotation to let you seamlessly draw, sketch, and annotate your Anki cards using your iPad or iPhone. If you use Anki on a Mac and own an iPad or iPhone, this add-on gives you a native iPad drawing experience right inside the Anki editor. ✨ Features Sketch from Scratch: Click the "πŸ– Sketch" button in the editor toolbar to instantly open a transparent canvas on your iPad. Draw your diagrams with your Apple Pencil, tap "Done", and it is automatically inserted right where your text cursor is in Anki. Annotate Existing Images: Right-click any image in your flashcard and select the "πŸ– Annotate" -(opens quicklook)-> "Markup" --> "Annotate on iOS Device" Image Occlusion Integration: Native keyboard shortcut support to annotate an image on your iPad, and instantly pipe the finished drawing directly into the Image Occlusion Enhanced add-on! Non-Destructive by Default: By default, annotating an image creates a safe copy for that specific flashcard, so you don't accidentally ruin images shared across hundreds of other cards. (This can be changed to destructive-overwrite in the config). ⌨️ Keyboard Shortcuts Cmd + Shift + S : Open a new blank sketch canvas on your iPad. Cmd + Shift + A : Annotate the currently selected (or first) image in the field. Cmd + Shift + I : Annotate the currently selected image, and send it straight to Image Occlusion Enhanced. βš™οΈ Requirements & Setup macOS Only: Because this add-on relies on Apple's native Continuity Camera and QuickLook frameworks, it is exclusively for Mac users. (Windows/Linux are not supported). Apple Ecosystem: You must have an iPad or iPhone signed into the same Apple ID as your Mac, with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth enabled. Accessibility Permissions: The very first time you use the add-on, macOS will ask you to grant Anki "Accessibility" permissions. You must allow this! (System Settings > Privacy & Security > Accessibility). This allows Anki to securely trigger the native macOS QuickLook window for you.
