Description

Press a key during review to skip the current card and have it come back after you've answered a set number of other cards (200 by default). Useful when you can't answer a card right this second but don't want to push it to tomorrow: audio cards when you have no headphones, image occlusion on a small screen, or anything you'd rather not do in public. Burying sends a card to tomorrow. L8er just moves it back in the queue. How it works Press Shift+L during review, or right-click the card and choose L8er. The card is buried and disappears from the current queue. Once you've answered the chosen number of cards, it is automatically unburied and returns to today's queue. If you finish the deck before reaching that number, delayed cards come back right away so they stay due today. Scheduling is untouched. No answer is recorded, so the due date, interval, and FSRS memory state stay exactly as they were, and nothing is added to the review log. Under the hood it is just a bury and an early unbury. Settings Choose the number under Tools > L8er : 25, 50, 100, 200, 300, 400, 500, or any custom value. The shortcut key and the deck-finished behavior can be changed in the add-on's config. Notes Desktop only. AnkiMobile and AnkiDroid do not run add-ons. If you stop reviewing before reaching the count, the card stays buried until you resume, or until Anki's normal day rollover.
